HEALTHY SNACKING - AVOCADO

Hi everyone!


Here is a quick and easy recipe for a healthy snack or even a light lunch using avocado as the main ingredient. Snacking can sometimes lead to eating food that isn't necessarily good for us - so by putting a few healthy ingredients together you can stop that craving without making a mess in the kitchen. Ingredients may vary according to your preferences. These are just a few I like to use.


















Here is what you will need:

Half an avocado (cubed)
2 cherry tomatoes (chopped)
2 slices cucumber (chopped)
A few basil leaves (chopped)
salt and pepper

Rice crackers or any other crackers that you may prefer.




























Once each ingredient is chopped finely, start by putting the avocado into a small bowl, and mash it with a fork until it forms a paste like consistency. You can now incorporate the other ingredients and mix well with the same fork. season with salt and pepper.

This is what it should look like once it's done.
I usually eat this with cracker bread, rice crackers or even pretzels. That is all up to you :)





















The result is a form of guacamole, just with a fewer ingredients. Other ingredients that would give this a good flavour are onions, lime, cilantro or even peppers. I chose a few ingredients as this is just a quick snack that wouldn't take too much time to make. I probably make this 3 or 4 times a week, it's that yummy!
