OUR TRIP TO DUBAI

Hi everyone!

We are finally back to blogging. We have had so much going on these past few months with our studies, that we have completely neglected this page!

Last month we travelled to Dubai to visit family and it was such a great break as we had just finished out first semester at uni. Here are a few photos from our trip.

This is after our long flight, on the way to the hotel. The airport is probably one of the biggest, most glamorous airports we've ever been to! Didn't take any pictures so couldn't add it here.

We went to Deira, the older part of Dubai. It's a must to see this place as it is probably the most authentic part of the city where you can get a boat ride through the creek, go the gold market and other souks.

Above is part of a mosque which I thought was so beautiful. The colours and patterns are so intricate. That's me at the creek wearing a denim shirt from Zara, white trousers also from Zara, a Topshop strappy top, Rebecca Minkoff bag and a scarf I purchased at the Souk. Surprisingly, the weather was quite chilly so I felt comfortable wearing long sleeves on most of the    days.

Below is another one of my purchases, a pair of authentic shoes. I love how the pattern is continuous on the interior of the shoe. You can see a few photos of the Souk and the creek below.

We had breakfast at Bateel one morning and I chose the eggs royal. They were divine! The eggs were perfectly poached. Definitely suggest it to anyone visiting Dubai. Their dates are amazing too!

Here is the view from Hotel Jumeirah, were we had Friday brunch. We then went down to the beach to get a closer view of the Burj al Arab.

At the Dubai Mall, sits the tallest building in the world, The Burj Khlaifa. You cannot even fathom how big it is until you compare it to other skyscrapers. Right under it is the largest dancing fountain, which is really pretty.

Here we are having dinner at Dean and De Lucas after a day shopping. We had one of these mint lemonade almost everyday during our time there. We have to find the recipe and make it at home.

And Finally, here is Stef and her Pinkberry yoghurt. Basically she gets one every time she sees one.

Hope this post can give you a few tips on what to do in Dubai! Theres lots to do and see so we definitely recommend going! :)

Much Love,

En and Stef x

  1. Lovely Pics :)
Traveling to Dubai is so much fun. Thanks! for sharing your experience.
The hotels & restaurants offer best services, but most of the fun is in hanging out at different places in the city and shopping in Dubai with a variety of markets, souks and malls.
